Val d'Aosta

Postby NuBee » Tue Jan 12, 2010 12:35 pm

With the help of great people here in this forum I managed to install Frank Dainese's photoreal Sceneries (here Val d'Aosta), I was too dumb to manage it alone

Outstanding shots man! 4th one for me. One of my favorite places to fly as well!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Hey,

After seeing those pics I definitely had to download that scenery. Same as you were though, I am curious as to how to install it. Does anyone have any advice on how to install that freeware properly?
Thank you very much!

Sorry for the late answer. Just put the files somewhere (I put them in a "Scenery" file on the same partition with FSX), then go in FSX / Setup and add the scenery file to your Library, the file will open, then just klick on a blank spot within the file and the window will shut down. The choosed file should appear now in your scenery library. At first I put all the files in FSX/Addon Scenery but it didn't worked to add the files to the library. Then I put the files outside FSX and then it worked :-? Funny thing!

Okay so I unzipped both zip files in a folder called "ValdAoasta Scenery" that I put in the FSX folder. Then I started FSX, went to Settings, then Scenery Library, then Add Area. I double click on "ValdAoasta Scenery", I see no files in that folder. I click on a blank spot like you said, it doesn't do anything. I click OK but it doesn't do anything. So I click cancel. Nothing Shows in the list of sceneries...
HELP!!  ;)

[color=#000000]It would be one of my favorite places to fly too..... if I had FSX.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I never realized Franck Dainese had made such great sceneries... All my favorite mountains :o I 'm in the process of downloading them all and hopefully I'll be busy flying for the next month, taking screenshots ahahah.
