3rd attempt at posting pictures...comments & advice most welcome

Postby Flying Trucker » Fri Dec 04, 2009 9:15 pm

Good evening all... :)

As you all can see I am making another attempt at doing pictures, I have done a lot of work to this electronic gizmo and with the help of so many folks here these are my results to-day.
Aircraft....Auster T7-Floats...much thanks to Doug "Hagar" for forwarding me to the link for this aircraft.
She is a little hard on fuel Doug and like the Tiger Moth she is not a hands off aircraft to fly.  Little underpowered perhaps but a wonderful asset to my hangar.
Scenery....MoCats Snow Dog Tours...wonderful program
Help.....Much help and advice from Shane G who has saved this electronic gizmo from being at the bottom of the river, thanks Shane for your patience and time.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Excellent Doug!  :) Looking quite well.

And what a beautiful little bird you've got there to take it all in with.

May have to go flying up there today.  ;)

This aircraft is on wheels, skis and floats which is wonderful and all the liveries I have found are military.  There is nothing wrong with that however I would like to fly it in a civilian livery so have posted a note to "Larry"/patchz for advice.

Hi Doug. There's several different types of Auster in the civil section of that site. Not sure if any have skis or floats. You could also try the Repaints section.

Good morning Doug...a cool one here it is too.   :)

I shall have another look, I did do some repaint downloads but I do believe they are all military livery.
Nothing wrong as I said about the aircraft being in military livery but I would like to have my little bugsmashers in civilian livery.  :)   ;)

I remember seeing a two tone purple and orange Auster Aircraft on floats at Red Lake Ontario, home of the Norseman Aircraft and bloody cold this time of year.   ;D

That is the place to see seaplanes, float planes and amphibians during the spring, summer and fall months and ski and wheel ski aircraft during the winter months.  What a picture perfect part of Ontario Canada, still rugged and beautiful.

OOPs getting long winded again...sorry... ;D

This one includes a civil version of the AOP.6 on skis. http://classicbritishfiles.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=162&func=fileinfo&id=1319

Shouldn't be much trouble to change the registration if you wish.

The AOP.6 was the basis for the Beagle-Auster A.61 Terrier. This one is in classic Beagle Aircraft colours. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Beagle-A-61-Terrier/1557776/M/

the use of the "A" key.
Your Auster looks like a natural float plane.
