[color=#000000][glow=yellow,2,300]freeware[/glow] version comes with six textures and a really nice VC. I'm not familiar with the flight characteristics of the P-39 but it seems a bit sluggish, especially below 250 kts. But I can live with it.

if ya get it in a flat spin does she come out of it.....

if not then its spot on, many pilots died trying to figure out why it did it but they never found out....

I would venture to guess it has something to do with the engine being rear mounted, the CG being too close to the tail, and perhaps too small a rudder.

Must be a pretty realistic model!
Haven't flown one,(no duh ) but all of the accounts I've read from pilots who did, one thing's common..."It was sluggish..."

im fairly sure thats what would of caused it

Hey guys sure glad to see you found my old P39!
I cant wait to get the real crazy one out to ya.
I had a heck of time with that air file as there were so many different accounts on how it flew. So I ran the numbers through an air foil program and used that data.

If you get into a flat spin, try this. If you can manage it and have the altitude, drop the throttle to 0 kick the rudder in the opposite direction of the spin, as soon as you can manage it drop your nose about 35 degrees, once the spin speed slows down punch the throttle 100%  It should pull you straight forward as soon as that happens turn in the opposite direction of the prop spin and turn out of it, once you have control again decrease your throttle and take a deep long breath, and pray to God for forgiveness of all sins...lol!

I got that method from an Old ww2 Russian fighter pilot Who lives here in Calgary that used to fly those old P39's against some pretty nice German fw190's. That must have been a lot of hair raising flights and dog fights in a p39!! When I said that to him he just smiled that wise old smile the old timers have who did all the real crazy stuff back in their hey day... 8-)
