Teh clouds, I haz dem :P

Postby Daube » Mon Sep 21, 2009 10:50 am

Hi all,

Those are the new high res freeware clouds made for FS9 by Pablo Diaz. Of course, the sky textures included in the archive will NOT worl with FSX, but the Cumulus and Cirrus textures will work, as you can see in this flight around Bella Coola, using Piglet's famous Meyer 200D :)

I love daytime screen shots!... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

I can never understand why so many Folks post shots representing the dead of night, when I have to close my curtains and switch off all my lights to peer at them, and hope to make out the shapes of the various objects therein!... :(...!

..its doing my eyesight in... :'(...!

Take your screen shots between the hours of daybreak and dusk if you are intent on encouraging me to view them....

..please!...;)... ;D... ;D...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...and complying with VFR conditions...!

It's hard to believe those are for FS9!  And what a bonus that they work in FSX.  8-)

Thanks for the heads up Daube.  :)

I agree Rocket_bird, I get quite a high FPS impact with the highest resolution set. My weather was set to almost maximum visibility distance, I had to reduce the distance to almost the minimum. And I still get an impact on very heavy weather.

I think I'll give a try to the 512 textures, to see if the impact is smaller. I was using the beautifull FS SkyWorld 2004 textures before, and I believe they are in 512 too, so it should still look good.
