Monster Hop

Postby ApplePie » Sat Aug 29, 2009 8:23 pm

Well, I just completed the online hop in between Johnston Atoll and Majuro Atoll. And let me tell you, it was VERY long.

Some texture glitch right after I took off. ::)

There was water.

LOTS of water.

THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF MILES OF WATER.

Some of FS2004's lovely reefs.

We're there, finally! :D

All I can say is, this flight was quite the experience flying 1265nm without an autopilot OR a GPS. ;D

Get used to water, lots of of it, until you reach Australia. ;)

I spent most of today and completed the Hawaii & Pacific portions of the hop list for the second time. ;)

That trip goes by quick in the X-15. ;D

Crossing the Pacific ocean in Flight Sim for hours on end must be very similar to flying through space in "Orbiter"...

....just substitute the colour Blue for the colour Black... ;D..!

Far too much water for me!... :o... ;D...!

Paul... ;D... ;D... ;D...!

P.S. ...I spotted you on Multiplayer at different times of the day but avoided interrupting your flight... ;)...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

[color=#000000]Looks like you had all the texture files in a box and just threw 'em in the ocean.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I doubt you would have liked flying for hours on end, in a straight line, with no scenery whatsoever. ;D

I feel sorry for the people who have to suffer on this flight in real life.

At least we can get up and go watch tv, or save and come back later.
