Yeah, it's BIG !

Postby Daube » Wed Aug 26, 2009 3:11 pm

Hi all,

Just some shots of a short flight from Innsbruck to LOXZ with the last Thomas Ruth's little baby.
Innsbruck was a VERY bad choice for such a plane, I just made it to take off with 100% power... However, some nice shots came out of the experience, so I share ;)

And just one shot of the virtual cockpit to convince the VC-flyers like me to download this beast asap !

The lighting in these shots look great.

I drove this thing through a neighborhood at the end of KROC runway 4, so good job on Innsbrook. lol

The lighting is amazing, but it looks like your engine textues didn't quite load in the first one.

Hehe, in fact I'm cruising at 17.000 feet above the Alps. It's just that this bird is so big that everything appears smaller :)

They did load, it's just a problem with the lights, strange reflections.

There's no way you can takeoff from Lukla with this bird, it's too slow to accelerate.
And furthermore, I have installed a Lukla scenery with sloped runway, but even this would not be enough  :D

All of his Airbus models and the An-124 have that as well.

It always amazes me that these monsters ever get off the ground, considering the enormous weight of them...especially when fully loaded!... :o...!

When I first tried this plane, it was fully loaded, I pushed the throttles all the way forward, and it just sat there for several seconds.

I thought I broke it at first. :D

When it's empty though, it's a big hollow kite just begging to get into the air.

The Russian's have always been masters at building horrendously large aircraft, and other vehicles for that matter.
I can't remember the name off hand, but they built a seriously large  tank during the cold war. :o
