United 777-200

Postby gtirob01 » Sat Aug 08, 2009 6:17 pm

After checking on one of the downloads that one person was having problems with, I set out to figure out the problem and fix it. However it was so badly hacked up that it wasnt even worth fixing. So I decided to put basically the same aircraft together with all the necessary vc files, updates, sound, and even a few things of my own. This is what I've got. I'm considering packaging this and uploading to SimV.

Beautiful set. 8-)

Second shot is nominated. All of the elements in the shot have a very real appearance to them, and the angle on the plane is nice.

The contrails in the third look great, are those the freeware REX ones?

Loads of details in the first & last, and very crisp and clear on all of them. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Thanks for the comments and the nom Shane! Wasnt really intending to take any special shots here... just some to showcase the 777!

I am indeed using the REX contrails. My original contrails somehow got lost, but now I will only use these!

Think I will upload it to SimV!

Well it already is freeware from Posky... but I may go ahead and upload it. Its already got all you will need. Just need to install the aircraft itself, the gauges... and you will be in the air!

On this, I have installed the 32 bit vc textures, XML gauges, the correct vc model (pw4000), custom pw4000 series sounds, configuration for the jetway to work with the front door, not to mention all the latest FDE updates and such from Posky. Im even gonna include the 777.gau file as well as the msvcr70.dll file in case anyone needs them.

Thanks! But keep in mind I didnt make any of this aircraft. All I did was put it all in a package that "should" work for most people. About the only extra thing I did on my own was add the coordinates for FSX jetways to work.

Haha, was just browsing the FSX files over at Flightsim and noticed that this package was uploaded there... but not by me! I did upload it here at SimV, but only here. Seems to be working fine for most people... so its all good!
