A Boeing with a difference...

Postby Fozzer » Wed Aug 12, 2009 4:45 am

Hello Chums...

My latest acquisition, for those nostalgic Flying Boat flights of yesteryear (1939 - 1946).

The Boeing 314.

Just a couple of shots as I make my way from Commodore Centre (22CA Sausalito) to Long Beach (KLGB), following the Californian Pacific Coast with Highway 1 to my left.

A beautiful Trip with glorious scenery en-route!

Pimms No.1 served by the gorgeous Air Stewardess' in their smart Uniforms.

Close your eyes and it will take you back to those far-off days!... :-*...!

FS 2004.... ;)...

Over-flying Monterey Bay en-route to Santa Barbara...>>>

Note the Traffic on Highway 1 below!

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Ta Lads!...;)...!

There are a few of them around.
Try this one: Boeing 314 Island Queen:

http://www.fsdome.com/showpage.php?url= ... raft/1.htm

A Google search will bring some of them up, with various Textures and Panel Types.

I like the Island Queen panel. Its got a nice, easy, Radio Nav Panel...(Useful for FS Navigator..;)..!

Don't forget, this one is for the lovely FS 2004 Sim... ;D...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav...and and Air Hostess with a sky blue Uniform..and a Glass of Pimms No. 1 for me... [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]...!

...what could be nicer?... :-*...!

Thanks Paul. Just finished the download. Can't wait to fly it. :)

Note you have to limit the air speed to a Max of 200 Knots, or else the Elevators flutter dangerously... :o...!

Superb to fly from VOR/NDB to VOR/NDB.... ;)...!

Paul... :)...!

Normally, my Trusty Cessna 150 has only one "Motor" out in front.. :'(...., but sometimes I get a lust for more, and bigger "Motors" out in front.... :o... ;)...!

..and four of them is what every Man dreams of!.. :-*... [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]!

Awesome shots. The sky in the first one looks great. Definately something different and not what you think of when you hear "Boeing."

Hello Alex...;)...

..anything with either a fan in front, or behind....and sometimes both...is fine by me... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

...and occasionally spun round by a 3/5/7/9 cylinder radial motor is even nicer!.. :-*...!

A Learjet is my very rare excursion away from my lovely Piston Props....
.....only if I am in a real hurry to get somewhere!... ::)... ;)... ;D...!

Paul...G-BPLF..FS 2004...and a can of 100LL Avgas.... 8-)...!
