If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Repainted and tweaked Pendercraft "Spindrift" (demo) from the '60's TV series "Land of the Giants"

Image

I calls it, "The Black Pearl III", I does, Arrrr!  :)

Here's the web site:

http://pendercrafts.com/index3.htm

All Pendercraft add-on's are for FS9, but some, like the Jupiter II, the Flying Sub from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, and the Lost in Space "Chariot", work in FSX with a little tweakage here and there.

The Flying Sub and the Jupiter II are also here on the Simviation Downloads pages.

I don't know if the Spindrift will ever come out of "Demo", since Ron Pendergraft's wife died last December, and it seems like he took it pretty hard (and who wouldn't?). :(

Nice shot !
I do the same kind of flights from time to time, just for fun and to enjoy the high-altitude view.
This screenshot would have been better with a more interesting weather theme, though ;)

The clouds got better when I ran into the front a hundred miles or so further west. :)

Oh, and it's fast. :)

How fast? Faster than Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich delivery?
