F14 fun!

Had a short flight with the F14 Tomcat.
Departed from Interlaken and after a short supersonic tour in Switzerland's pleasant valleys I decided to bother some passenger planes.

"Contrail at 10 o'clock ::)"

Well, I wanted to ask the stewardess to give me a cup of tea but the pilot just didn't agree to open the doors  >:(

The scenery looks very good (to my unpracticed eye) but the jet itself looks chunky. Why is that?
