Fairly good shot, all-in-all.  You have the right elements there, but I do have a suggestion.  Whenever I take a screenshot for a contest, I pause the sim, go into the graphics menu and crank everything ALL THE WAY UP!  That way, I get the most out of the sim itself.  I obviously start getting worse framerates, but I do end up with a much better-looking shot.

It's also a good idea to get a good mesh for whatever region you're flying in when you are going to take a shot.

For instance: in the shot above, you can see where the mesh changes shape, right?
