Odd airfield

Postby Boikat » Fri Jun 19, 2009 5:32 am

I installed the 10 meter eastern mesh, and the "Read Me" mentioned something about how some airfields would be "elevated" or sunk down a bit.  But this is too cool. :)

It's just a bit NW of Auburn NY.  Perfect for an inaccessable secret airbase of some sort. ;)

It could be.  I think that one was a recent download, from just a few days ago, an was a FS9 import.

Methinks this is a secret government site for pilots to learn carrier landings.... of course being the government it is bloomin' obvious to anyone with 2 braincells to rub together.....

Methinks you've reached a plateau of sorts! :D

OR, you're at least at a new height of your game! ;D

We may need to look for similar phenomena on the moon and Io! ;)

Let's see what movie fans catch my reference?!?

If I find another "Plateau airstrip" like this, I'm going to park a Star Destroyer directly above it, so the landing strip is just above the bottom of the "belt line".  It would be like having a "landable" Star Destroyer.

In and out through the nose.  :)
