Have a revised shot and am trying to put it in the thread but, though I've amended the file name and get the [img] message when I upload, all I get in the preview is a little red X in a white sqare.

Hagar, I,m going nuts - think it's /V440 OME 1967(2) or maybe (3).  Had one in yesterday - /V440 OME 1967 but it was too large.

Yea!!! You got it figured out. You know you can go up 1024 wide if you want to. Just stay under 150k per shot and 600k total per post. Give or take a few K on the total.  ;) We won't shoot you. ;D  Have fun. That's what it's all about.

Just remember that many of us still suffer from the width restrictions in the new-type Forum*, even with a Monitor resolution of 1280 X 1024.

I have to restrict my Screen Shots to 900 pixels width to avoid the necessity of horizontal scrolling to view the complete Post/Screen shot!

Paul...G-BPLF...1280 X 1024... 8-)...!

* The Avatar area takes up more of the available width on this new Forum...;)...!

Glad you fixed it. The problem was caused by spaces in the file name & possibly the brackets. Stick to standard characters & use hyphens or underscores to separate words.

Here's the one you uploaded earlier. http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/V440%2520OME%25201967.jpg

It's a nice shot. Note the spaces have been filled with %2520. This happened automatically when you uploaded it.
The most confusing thing is when 'upload' tells you 'the file already exists, rename the file'.
