Yosemite...

Postby Wing Nut » Fri May 01, 2009 5:31 pm

I've been a lot of places, but nothing has ever managed to match Yosemite for pure awe.  It is quite simply the most beautiful place on Earth and if you've never been there, your life will not be complete until you go.

For those who're unfamiliar with the place, El Capitan (on left) is the largest unbroken rock face in the world and rises over 3000 feet from the valley floor.

Half-Dome is in the background...

Anybody know of any photoreal scenery for Yosemite? Would be a perfect place for it!

Hey Kevin... those 2 shots would make a great composite shot.  ;)
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Yeah, Yosemite is beautiful. I explored some of it in the late '70s
For me the most impressive thing was Mariposa Grove."

The first time I came out of that tunnel and saw that view I nearly drove off of the cliff.
