Do some red torpedoes for the Enterprise and Voyager, but keep the blue ones for the Defiant. And make some green ones for the Romulan warbird.


Check.  Have the green one for the Romulan.  I made the "beams" symetrical.  Romulans always struck me as being "precise" so I wanted to add a  that to the effects.

Also, I noticed that the later Enterprise ships did not have the "beam" effects as pronounced, so i need to redo those too.

I think I should probably start a thread in the "design" section to put things in order, plus, I am still being vexed by a few puzzles in deciphering the effects .cfg.

Everyone's input is greatly appreciated, too.  After I get some of the details tweaked out, I'll upload them for FS9 & FSX. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Yea, the newer ones are more like squashed flying saucers.

reading a bit in the 1701-D's readme..... the only thing that I DO NOT like about it, is it can not land!!!! I wish there was a way to change that without having to get the source files and creating [contact points] ...... or is there???

It already has the contact points for landing gear, so  think that can be fixed in the aircraft.cfg file.  I added -100 feet to the "verticle position" and made the "damage speed" 300 KIAS.  That raised it above ground, but it still acts like the gear is collapsing, then it recovers, then the gear collapse again.  I don't have a handle on it yet, but I'm sure some tinkering in the .cfg is all that's really needed.
