Question 2.

Postby patchz » Tue Mar 31, 2009 2:50 am

Does the addition of something like Ground Environment Pro or Active Sky mean that all my unedited screenshots have to be posted in Payware, even if the aircraft is freeware?

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Yes, totally.
The fact is that you would be using payware elements in your shots, so the shot would show payware stuff, so it should be posted in the payware section, even if the aircraft is freeware.

In the freeware section, the shots shoulds show only 100% freeware stuff. If you take a look in the payware section, you will notice that from time to time, some people post screenshots containing freeware planes.... but with Active sky meteo, or any other payware addon in the background.

Thanks. I figured it would be that way. I'm just not satisfied with the ground textures and so far, have been unable to find any freeware that does it for me.

Which sim are you using?

For FS9. VOZ1.8 Has some superb replacement freeware ground textures.  Using the 'North" or 'South East' sets gives a decent representation of the world in most areas. ;)

Then there's a whole list of different textures for FSX that are pretty nice. :)

Right here: http://vistaoz.org/downloads.html

You only need the first package (which has everything) & the AI package if you want it. ;)

The others listed on the page are in the main package. 8-)

Wow! Now that's how scenery should look. But I think I may have to clean out my drive before I install it. My machine is already choking a little and I'm afraid this might kill it if I don't make some room. Thanks a lot. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
