Chippy In Italy

Postby ShaneG_old » Thu Jan 29, 2009 7:19 pm

Got FSX running, and running pretty good at the moment. :)
Have you Accel guys picked up Jeff.Guo's 'Chippy Ho!' repaint for the default F-18 yet? Serious top quality work here! One of the finest repaints I've ever seen. :o [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Looks nice against some photoreal scenery:

Hmmm, try resizing the repaint down a little...

...all the textures are up at 2048x2048 resolution, it doesn't affect FPS, but unless you have it enabled in the aircraft.cfg you won't actually see the higher resolution being drawn in the sim.

...and if your screen resolution is low enough, the jaggies (from overly sharp textures) starts appearing.

...there's no mipmaps or alphas, so its pretty straight forward. If I find the time, I'll size it down and upload a lower resolution package...but don't hold your breath on it. (I still got a 332nd red tail for the Aerosoft F-16 sitting in a folder for about 5 months now waiting for a .cfg and thumbnail image :P)
