Amazing wingflex

Postby TRflyman01 » Tue Dec 02, 2008 11:56 am

Messing around in a glider looking for December entryand when looking through the pics afterwards I noticed the wingflex and thought it was awesome. Hadn't ever noticed anything that drastic before. These pics were taken in a steep climb to stall, can you satll a glider? :-/ :-/, and then decent. Anyway, I thought I would share ;)

I like the angle on #3. Good looking shots!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Any one of the first 3 shots would be good for this months screenshot contest ;)
Amazing that they don't break

They would break if they didn't flex. The winglets make it look more than it is.

can you satll stall a glider?

Of course. The principle is just the same as for a powered aircraft.

I'd be flapping my wings if I didn't have an engine too!

;D
Reminds me of this famous animated gif where you see a liner flapping its wings and running with the main gear, trying to takeoff  :D

Very nice screenshots, The first one would be even greater if the ground was not taking so much of the shot. The last one is my favorite, great colors and everything  8-)

Doesn't look like much of a wing-flex, the glider just looks like that when flying.

It's just hard to see, if you're not looking from the side...

Nice shots though! :)
