Tweaking the bloom again !

Postby Daube » Mon Dec 01, 2008 2:37 pm

Hi all,

When I installed the bloom module, I quickly modified the settings to make the bloom a bit more discreet and I was satisfied with the result. However, I realized that I was missing the exagerated effect a little bit, so I switched back to the defaut settings just to test. I'll see if I can find something halfway between the exageration and the beauty, but in the meanwhile some shots were produced just for fun, so here they are :)

Planes are the FSX SP2 J-29 from Piglet and the FS9 TBM-700, both flying somwhere over Innsbruck.

Love that bloom! I'm not sure why but my bloom in FSX freezes my game or I get 1-2FPS but in FS9 it worked fine... would you mind posting your bloom settings and the .dll for me? Or email them? :)

Look in the original post I created in the FS9 section.
There is a link for the dll, and I am using the settings I posted on the first page. :)

EDIT: sorry, I don't know if the original link is still valid, so here's a copy. http://dl.free.fr/tSH5LuY9m

A1, here is a link to a little texture fix for the TBM 700 to work in FSX SP2. You should extract those files in each of the texture.x folder of that plane :)

Please test it and tell me if I have forgotten any file.
The only issue with this pack is that you will get a small hole in the side doors, nothing critical but anyway...

The sunlight in #2 looks good and the last two are phenomenal.  ;)
