Finally, decent FS9 screens

Postby TRflyman01 » Wed Nov 19, 2008 9:40 pm

Have been trying to get my FS9 to look as good as you all have and comparable to FSX. Not close but this is the best I've been able to get yet.

Glacier Bay?

Runway 26 approach can be very challenging, especially for an AC like that.

Uh oh ...

Cool shots though I believe you should look after your ground details, especially your water textures.

You might want to check here: http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=231&t=60217

And also take a look at this tread and do it. It works!

If you need anything then send me an e-mail ...

The ac is the B377 stratocruiser. Not sure where I got it from, I think here at simv. The readme file says its a Tom Gibson and FSAviator ac, reworked from fs2002. IT flies great but I don't really like the sound file.

It is Glacier Bay and the landing was pretty fun. Didn't get it stopped until the end of the runway.

Thanks for the comments.

Harold, thanks. I will check out your suggestions and let you know if I need further help. If I can get it looking half as good as yours I will be very happy.

Those are indeed very nice looking FS9 shots.
Since you like flying in Alaska, you might want to give a try to the freeware addon textures pack nammed "Alaskan Terrain textures" ?
(remember to backup first !!)
