A Little Hop

Postby ShaneG_old » Tue Nov 11, 2008 9:56 pm

Found this today while looking for some nice repaints and decided to take it for a hop across the channel. Rotterdam to London. It came with a lot of nice paint schemes, but something about this one seemed
to have a special touch. ;)

Climb out in undesirable conditions.

Getting above the clouds, every now and then a nice hole opened up.

Almost at cruising altitude.

I can finally see some land!

All of them are spectacular  :o

What bird is that 737-200/300?

Wish we had a 737-200 with a VC for FSX  :'(

Fascintating! When you say 'it came with a lot of nice paint schemes' what exactly do you mean...? Awesome repaint  :D I can see  a little error under the fuselage though :o

Its the tinmouse 737, i do beleive ;)

;D I found your repaints for it first.(this and the Air Euope) ;) I hadn't seen the Tinmouse project before so I had to hunt down the model, which came with a few nice paint jobs, but yours had some nice weathered touches to them, and I thought it would be cool to take her for a spin and post some pics. Looks great! 8-) Also found a nice looking Baron 58 that I've been zooming around the skies in. ;)

LOL glad your liking them...did you get the tinmouse cockpit to work? Ive had it working a few times but more often than not it doesnt work so i have to revert to a stock 737 - well its not a tinmouse cockpit but it comes with the tinmouse 737...shame its so baffling!

Also the pilots in this thing from the outside view looking into the cockpit are first class, best 'sim' pilots ive seen, there heads move and all sorts - make sure you check them out ;D

I think its a cracking aircraft - id highly recomend having a bash at the paintkit - tail to fuselage can be tricky but its highly detailed and quite easy to work on ;)

This has one of the best 2D cockpits I've seen. I like the use of the photo textures, but I must admit, I was a little unready for the degree of realism put into it.:-[  I'm still reading the manual for it. I wish this thing had an equally excellent VC.
I haven't located the paint kit for it yet. Finding the main package took a bit of hunting to find. Where I got this had your repaints and the updates, but not the base package. :-?
I was going to post a touchdown shot from the front showing those pilots, but so much of the plane was cut out of the shot, I decided not to. ;) I really like that you included pics of the real things with your textures, it was alot of fun comparing the two and seeing just how accurately you made them. My hat off to you sir. [smiley=clapping.gif]

Ta! Ive done this on all my repaints (bar one i think) - i think its a good way to decide if you want to install it or not. I know ive downloaded many repaints and theres usualy loads of screenshots of the aircraft inside the folder, but not of the real aircraft, or none at all. If i can look at whats been painted (i try to include the exact aircraft if i can usualy) then i can make a better decision i feel...

As ive said before i think, i try to make my repaints repaints that i myself would download, so i think that covers both the read-me's and included shots of both the paint and the real thing :) - plus decent images on the site your uploading to.

I cant be doing with those that upload a small image that you see before you download that turns out to be a
