It's Sabre time!

Postby gtirob01 » Sun Oct 26, 2008 8:15 pm

Had to take a crack at the new Sabre, and I must say it is a beautiful aircraft. Im using it in FSX, and for the most part, its great! Does have the vc glass issue, but that can be fixed. In the meantime, here are some shots from the first flight! C&C very much welcomed!

Very nice. I didn't download it, but it seems pretty sophisticated with operating drop tanks and all. Good shots.  :)

It's just a matter of inverting the alpha channel for the canopy glass ;)

Yup, and I was just about to say that. Gonna go figure out which one it is and make the change. As for the link, I dont think we are really allowed to post links to avsim... but it is there under the recent additions.

I have downloaded this plane, I use it in FSX SP2 and a can confirm it is absolutely awesome  :o
There are just 3 textures to edit for making the canopy transparent again, just fill the alpha channel of those textures with a dark grey (not black, else you will loose the nice pilot/instruments reflections).

Very cool shots here gtirob01, I especially love the colors in the first one :)

And in English that means? :-?  :-[

I saw that yesterday and was going to d'l it but was worried about FSX compatability. Now that I see it works I'll have to get it.
One of my all-time faves. :)

How exactly did you make the canopy transparent? I opened up all of the texture files for one of the texture pack, and made every alpha chanell dark grey. No luck...
