Freddie Flies Again

Postby microlight » Wed Oct 08, 2008 1:00 pm

I flew in a Laker Skytrain DC-10 to Los Angeles and back again in 1980, so in the spirit of nostalgia (even though nostalgia isn't what it used to be), here's us leaving KLAX on an evening flight back to London Gatwick.

I like it ... you have a good eye for detail though a cloud or two wouldn't have hurt the shot. Remember the lighting on the subject too!

Good luck!

Many thanks, Harold - it was real-world weather, so I guess I could have beefed up the clouds manually, but there you go.

I thought the sun's glint on the tail nacelle was kinda cute...

Harold, when I think about Los Angeles, I think smog might be better than clouds.

Microlight - l like the fact that you used a personal experience for your shot.

Good luck!

;D ;D ;D

Oh .. I have a great weather theme for that! It's called NorCal Clouds Sheets. Also the stuff that comes with Silver Wings is very suitable for that ::)

Very pretty clear sky tones, and excellent airport details. 8-) I bet LA wishes it really could breath air like that! ;)
