Very nice screenshot Deano! Good attention to detail on the ground although some more (and real-life) AI would've been nice.

But your choice of aircraft is really good and it has that gorgeous livery! I really like this one ...

The mountains can be solved with a nice mesh or even by jacking up your settings. But never use your computer specs as an excuse ...
these can be overcome. And if you wait a little while to let the scenery load things will look a little better. Refreshing your scenery might sometimes help too - though I'm not sure if that option is still available in FSX ...

Look at my computers' specs in my sig ... I think they're comparable to what you describe here above and I do think that I can get some reasonable nice images.

If you want to know anything just send me an e-mail ;)

well thanks for your comments and kind words Harold!

while i would love to include real life ai or even just fsx ai into it, whenver i go over 14% traffic (roughly!), i seem to loose everything in fsx... menus, buildings, gauges, textures.... and its a delayed thing, the longer i keep it paused, the more severe the blurring! so this is actually all my comp can take! (...its like my comp is trying to render or compute the more important things, although in this case it doesnt realise that the graphics are just that!!)

as for using my comp as an exscuse, i do not hold it responsible, i just feel it holds me back from what i really want to acheive when doing fsx screenies! i have a mere 1 gig of ram, a 6800gt, and a 2.4mhz single core brain!... but i will look into some better meshes!

anyway, thanks for the comments,

(ps. i think your is absolutely fantastic!, very clean and crisp!)

Interesting shot.  ;)

I think if you tried pausing the game, then bumping up all your settings just for the shot, and then reducing them again for actual flying, you would get nicer results.

Nice to see a Tupolev Tu-154 though, hopefully we'll see more entries with this aircraft as the weeks go by.  :)

Darn. I forgot about the TU jets. Really like this shot. Cool angle. Really shows off the engines. The scenery looks good in the background. Totally irrelavent but I like the way the main gear kinda' hangs in a level position. Makes it look cool.

8-)
