Spirit of Malaysia

Postby MOUSY » Wed Aug 27, 2008 1:51 am

Both these vivid, colourful and captivating liveries luckily captured at sunset, as a Malaysia Airlines Hibiscus 747-4H6 comes in for approach, while the Heliconia A330-300 departs.

P.S.: I worked my a** of on this shot for hours, as well as that of my 8MB Nvidia Vanta ::), after 5 different failed ideas. In the end though, I had fun with it and I'm pleased. Please, any comments and criticisms are welcomed. ;)

Add-ons:
POSKY B744 with Hibiscus paint
POSKY A332-PW with Heliconia paint
FSSKyworld
...and a whole lot of stress on my vid-card.  ;D

Your video card must have been screaming when you took this shot :o

However, I think your perseverance will pay off as I see this as a finalist.

I originally had about 8 cloud layers. Brought it down to 4 for this shot. Thanks for the kind words of praise guys. Truly appreciated.

If I'm honest, I think compression really took its toll on this shot... bit too crowded for my liking as well. Nice idea though!! ;)

Thanks again for all the comments guys. Mark, on maxed settings I can actually maintain about 6 fps during farely bad weather over lots of autogen and mesh, which is enough to sim for me. LOL.
