In order to get sound, you need to download the B-17F, right above the b-17g

Apparentley these planes might be lifted, if so I apologize for providing a link to the site where I found them, if not hope you enjoy them , I have uninstalled both the B-17,&-29, until I can confirm the  claim, there's many nice freeware versions out there to choose from. ;D

This looks just like the WOP B-17G....(payware)...it was a good idea to remove the links "socialgarbage".  :)
Good Shots though...
And if I were you, I would contact A2A Simulations (formerly Shockwave) to let them know about whatever site you obtained the aircraft from, they can then pursue with legal proceedings.  :)

NitroPower, I'm rather shocked at how unwise that comment was...I own the Bombers pack, which includes this B-17, the B-29, and a few other aircraft, and find them to be great packages, and certainly the best representations of the type so far in FS.
I would first suggest you put yourself in the developers shoes before making a stupid  "this sucks" remark such as that, and then I would suggest you learn a little more about the piracy issues we face in today's software industry. Just because you do not care for a payware product, does not mean that you should not care about the wishes of a group that has spent hundreds or thousands of hours creating something, and just wants some compensation. Piracy is very illegal, and you can get in a lot of trouble by supporting it.

Here is the site where you can properly purchase this and other great WWII aircraft:
http://shockwaveproductions.com/

Have a good day...

I contacted A2A, when I looked at the screenshots, and the website also listed A2A's Solo P-51, and B-29 from the Firepower pack. ;)

He's got the Alphasim B-52's also, he also lists himself as the author of these pieces, 30 or so aircraft & maybe 20 or so sceneries.

You should be fine. I hope the B-17 I have isn't illegal payware. I'm looking into it now, but the one on Shockwave seems to have more features. Nice shots anyway.  :D

Nitro, the link that you provided me with in the aircraft wanted section was freeware right? It is from the Reddog place, and looks exactly like that one in Social Garbage's shot. Funny, I was just thinking when I was flying it: This looks too good to be freeware.

It is generally inadvisable to eject directly over the area you just bombed
