Bloom didn't actually do much to me after I reformatted, oddly. only about a 10 FPS drop

Actually, I was the one on the top, hellshadow was the one on the bottom =).

No. 1. A rule of thumb is try to avoid having your horizon cut your picture in half like #2. Especially when its so sharp. It rarely ever works. The mood set by the range of colours in no1 is also better.
