Spitfire XIV vs ME262

Postby HawkerTempest5 » Tue Jun 24, 2008 2:23 pm

Vickers Supermarine Spitfire F. Mk XIVc RM787 CG, Wg Cdr. Colin Grey, Lympne Wing, October 1944.
Image
The real RM787 was a Mk XIVe and although W/C Grey was New Zealands highest scoring ace with 27 and two shared victories, he failed to score a single victory whilst flying RM787! Post war, RM787 served with the Belgian Air Force as SG28.

262s are no match for the mighty Griffon! ;) ;D

Steve

Mine too. :) This Spitfire was the best thing that ever happened to CFS3. Before this came out we were stuck with those very lame stock Spitfires! ::)

Thanks for all the comments chaps. :)

:-?

P-51D 437MPH at 25000ft

Spitfire MkXIV 448MPH at 26000ft

So where do you get the fact that a P-51D was "much faster" than a Spitfire MkXIV?
