I got my FSX back....1st screenies

I just got me a new hard drive today...went out and got a 320 gig...

here is the worn and torn C182

Under the [TERRAIN] section of the fsx.cfg, add the following lines:

TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=4500
TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_BUILDINGS_PER_CELL=3000

Those numbers are default. The max is 6000 for each. Be aware, however, that FSX will only be able to show what your hardware is capable of. It is recommended you leave these numbers alone and not even add the lines to the .cfg file.

Mess around with the sliders first and see what you can get. As NickN says, sometimes it's better to push the sliders closer to the max.

Make sure you head over to the FSX forums and check out the stickies they have there. Read everything and your sim will look and perform much better than you'd ever expect.
