Discovering Germany - Part 1 - Berlin

Postby fabiane » Thu May 15, 2008 3:52 pm

Hi all,

I descided to do a trip in Germany and show you all some interesting places.

This is episode 1: I flew from Hamburg to Berlin:

This is the plane I took: A historic Ju-52. It's a plane that is still operational. This beauty is operated by the Lufthansa. Trips can be
booked here. There's a cool video of her taking off on the page.

Wingview. As you can see this region is very flat.

Berlin olympic stadium. The games 1936 took place here.
The final in the 2006 FIFA World Cup took place here aswell and the stadium was renovated for that reason.

The Red town hall to the right and Berlin Cathedral to the left including the Museum island.

Image

Approaching Berlin Tempelhof  . The airport was very important in supplying the people of Berlin during the Soviet blockade.

Hope you liked my feature, next trip will be Berlin to the Ruhr Area.

Please leave some feedback,

Cheers,
Fabian

Nice Fab ... really nice. Interesting topic and some cool research.

I like the fourth shot very much? Can't be default FSX right?

Like the concept, personly i think the last shot is excellent, mainly i think because you appear to be a little higher than in the others and the scenery looks a lot better. Or maybe its the angle you took it from!

I agree with the above comments, the last shot is really nice !
It's mainly because in this shot we cannot see the ground texture, which is very blurry on the previous shots. Also, the autogen looks great, and that plane has always been one of my favorites :)
