8500GTS An-225

Postby OVERLORD_CHRIS » Mon Apr 14, 2008 7:33 pm

This is my An-225 chasing a boat 40-feet of the water of the cost of TNCM. And this was back when I was using an 8500-GTS card.

Must have been a stressful flight. I've done that at mach 2 with the SR-71.

Looks great! Love the reflection off the water. How do you get the water textures like that? I cant get mine anywhere near there. Download?
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Oh it was, It took me a while to trim it out with the flaps down at 340-kts with out it sinking. And I almost made the wing tip hit the water when I was banking because I forgot to pull up when I did.

At the time did this, I was running my 8500-GTS with 1054 of ram and XP, and had water, aircraft, airport, maxed out, and it made the water look like that.

If got some more from the same card but they are 30,000 feet pics, but I'll post them as soon as I resize them. And then I post the newer ones I took with Vista and my 8800-GT.

Always better when you get the plane just a little wet.

Here. I dug up some old shots from January. It was a tricky flight as the autopilot doesn't go this low. The alarms were blaring:

A tad easier:
