Evans Volksplane

I found this FS 2004 Evans Volksplane a long time ago, so I just fixed it for FSX.

I re-painted it the same as the one I just dragged out of a jungle up North of here. I drove 2000kms to get it back to my house, then I had to get a snake handler over to clear it of scary pests. I also found an old beehive in the tail

Well not really, mine is about a hundred pounds overweight so I'll be flying it at Max Gross of 1040 lbs

The VP2 is a lot wider in the fuse and slightly bigger overall than the VP1 pictured above. The fuse is really heavy, I don't know how I'm going to trim weight off it, if it's possible at all.

That's nifty- reminds me of the Fly Baby, something seen more often around here.


I'm sure you can find someone out there who can advise you on lightening it, although it might fly just fine as is. Seems Evans is still in business, too:

I was talking to a previous owner of a VP-2 and he said they are all heavy, and the best thing to do is fair them up nicely with cowlings, fairings and enclosed cockpits, (mine is faired nicely). I'm starting to get the impression that they are flown heavy regardless, which is a tad worrying for me.

The trailerable on it's wheels thing is cool, but you wouldn't want to go far like that, I think it would get wrecked on the roads here rather quickly.

I can't believe I made it 1000kms home in one piece, I really gave myself a 50-50 chance lol. I worked on this trailer and it's lights until it was too dark to see then "hit the road". I got the running lights working and one of the blinkers....... I never got pulled over, no plates, looked like crap, bits falling off the thing



Bob, this was in the readme in the plane's folder........ but I've seen a lot of Piglet's work here on SimV. If anyone wants a modded aircraft.cfg and panel.cfg (I modded the panel for FSX) for a VP-2 conversion, let me know and I'll mail you the files.
