Great news! You've certainly earned it, with all that keyboard-flying. ;)

I assume you now understand what all the fuss was about? Even handling a big bus like the 747 is more like "real flying" with a proper controller. :)

I bought on earlier this year to go with the laptop whilst I was away from home for a few months. I quite like it, and its nice having the pair of throttles. :)

At least, if one engine fails (in an aircraft with two engines) you can control the remaining engine. I don't know how it is with a tri-holer, a quad-engine (or piloting a twin-engined aircraft with one throttle and an engine on fire).

You were using just the Keyboard? That's love to the art , I can't even take off...lol

Hey you can make rudder pedals too, you need a 100k slider potenciometer , wood,a couple springs, screws, a couple cables , really no big deal ,its very usefull..specialy when you flying a 747..

It can't be that bad if you're flying large commercial airliners while letting the computer do all the flying for you... ;D

That's practically why I seldom flew GA in my pre-joystick days. Not to say that I never flew GA aircraft.
