the uber christmas present

Postby JLangholzJ » Fri Dec 21, 2007 9:10 pm

well fellas, here's my first shot at a screenshot, not the best, but I'm working at it

I just wanted to get this one out there, its KIRK OLSSON's F-16 VIPER one of my favorites. Its decked out with the HARM package (air to air) and other than the screaming afterburner, its in stealth

That afterburner is crazy looking :o. Looks like they packed the engine with that stuff they use on sparklers :)

Are you sure that's not a Freefalcon "Redviper" Viper? That afterburner looks awfully familiar!

Otherwise, it's a bit too dark on my Monitor. (It is one of my favourite planes, too!)

Happy Holidays and good luck in the contest!

...for the life of me... ::)....

..I just cant understand why all you Blokes post screen shots of darkness, (or absolute darkness, in this case)... :o...!

Paul...G-BPLF... 8-)...!

The Lord said:..."Let there be light"...
...and you could see all the bleedin' screen shots, without having to switch off all the bleedin' lights in the Living Room!... :o...!

The darkness present here would've created a cool effect; if there wasn't too much of it.

I'm thinking that that afterburner would've looked great standing out against a moderately (not almost completely) dark aircraft.

Nice idea you had, you just need to work a bit more on the execution of it. ;) :)

Decent shot; However I have to correct the above that's bolded. HARM are NOT Air-to-Air missiles. They're Anti-Radar missiles, meant for tracking down and destroying SAM sites ;)

Quote from Wikipedia:

The AGM-88 High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) is an air-to-surface tactical missile designed to home in on electronic transmissions associated with surface-to-air missile radar systems.

this has to be my second most favorite plane to fly.  the plane was created by Dean Reimer  and I found both the #6 angel paint and the plane here on simV

note: the only reason why I'm posting some extras is to see what you guys think of em'

It's probably an excellent shot, if I could have seen the aircraft....nice afterburner though!
