Every word is worth a thousand pictures..

Postby Clipper » Fri Nov 30, 2007 7:33 am

Here's an idea I thought would be fun. You post 1 pic, but with a title relevant to the pic. For example..this pic is titled "Red Rain", it's the Hiroshima incident. A bit of a morbid but relevant title and pic, and an important historical incedent we should never forget. So what can you come up with? How clever or creative can you be in matching title to image? Post here until limits are reached, or in your own thread.

Sounds like a good idea, but shouldn't the aircraft in the shot be a B29 by the name of Enola Gay? I'll see what I can come up with to to add to this post. Also nice shot. Got lucky and found that break in the clouds.

PACIFIC CROSSING

Name: scrss_20.zip Size: 12,676,981 Date: 06-25-2007 Downloads: 937
FS2004/FSX Southern Cross Fokker FVII/3m. The 'Southern Cross' made the first crossing of the Pacific Ocean by an aircraft, flown by Charles Kingsford-Smith and a crew of three. They took off from Oakland, California on May 31, 1928, and arrived at Brisbane, Australia on June 19. The Southern Cross was, at the time, even more famous than Charles Lindberg's 'Spirit of St. Louis'. The Southern Cross is preserved today at Brisbane Airport. This package includes the aircraft model and ready-made flights you can use to recreate the 1928 experience. Improved version 2 model, modified to work with FSX as well as FS2004. By Jens B. Kristensen.

Selling Aircraft

Here is one I posted for the air show comp, which was disqualified because Im partially illiterate :D

Flying over Seattle's 1955 Seafair and Goldcup Hydro Plane Races "Tex" decides to stun the crowd by performing a barrel roll with the prototype Dash-80. After the stunt his boss asks Tex "what were you thinking", he replied "trying to sell airplanes".

Excellent! Nice pieces of aviation history! I'ld like to offer another heading for the "Pacific Crossing". "Cross of the South"

It's incredible just how much a title adds to the depth, drama and viewer appreciation of images. Agree?Keep 'em coming!  :)

Yes it is Ashar ;D ;D Well a 367"-80" to be more specific. It was the prototype to the 707.
