Buran lifts off on a dream from a remote russian airfield as the sun casts it's low light through the thick clouds, creating a spectacular blood red sky. The perfect backdrop to this soviet feat of engineering.

reminds me of cans of tomato drink...


nice shot, lots of thrust i imagine from the weight of the shuttle (isnt that the An-225?)


but yeh, thats certainly a nice deep colour in the background  8-)

(isnt that the An-225?)

I think the AN-225's are the only ones with 6 engines. Nice shot! I like the distance.

Easiest way for me to tell an An-225 from others is the tail ;)
