Fit as a "Fiddler!"

Postby Lazerbeak » Mon Nov 05, 2007 1:15 am

A Tu-128 "Fiddler", to be exact. ;D

Earlier, Ivan posted some great shots of Samdim's Tu-128, and also asked if anyone could make some repaints. That thread reminded me of an old pet project of mine, which included overhauling the textures and giving that terrific model some new clothes to try on. So, in a furore of inspiration, I dug out the unfinished PSD's, and got to work adding some weathering, shadows, and other assorted details. Once that was done, I made the repaints Ivan suggested, "Red 01" and "Blue 14", and the results came out as follows:

Personally, I was fairly pleased with the way they came out, but I'd much prefer hearing your opinions. ;)

I would, but sadly the larger versions got deleted. :-[

However, I'd be happy to take some more screens for you if you'd like.

Great work! I'm loving that textures. Is that the model released as beta a while ago?

Looking forward to your textures.

Cheers,

Looks nice!

One suggestion from me - perhaps tone down the reds of the stars, so they blend in nicely with the rest of the aircraft. Maybe faded a little, or more dirty like the rest of the aircraft. :)

is that the beta one available here at the V?

Very nice, clean paints...I do agree that they need a little weathering though....
