Totally aside from this discussion, those are quite some shots!

Maybe he means bombers like the lancer can't take off on full burner, since they have to stay on the runway for longer than your typical jet fighter...

A B1 does it at least once every year at RAF Fairford, as you can see and as far as I'm aware Fairford still has a runway of use...

Yup, once again dude, it has been done, NUMEROUS times lol

Every airshow I have been to at Miramar the B1B does an afterburner show for the crowd, on the runway, without moving (full brakes applied, just so everyone can stare at the purple/red flames)  Then she releases brakes and tears down the runway before disappearing into the horizon, turning around and performing an uber high speed pass over the crowd, usually resulting in me tearing my shirt off and running in circles in celebration  :D

The runway at Miramar is always down for repair. Those damn fighter jocks think they can come to fighter town and use their burners. So inconsiderate.  ::)

honestly who cares about the burners. weve all seen enough on discovery or free to air t.v. time after time taking off on full afterburners. it is done.
we are getting away from the point here. an amazing picture. obviously taken on a wide angle lens or possibly viewed through binoculars
