edzmen's entry

Postby edzmen » Fri Aug 31, 2007 12:44 pm

I've not  uploaded any new screenshots to SimV for aaages, so this is a nice return...

My entry then:

'Classic Reds at Kemble Airshow'
Two vintage Red Arrows Gnats lift off from Kemble's runway in a style harking back to the good old days - [snapped by the man in the control tower.]

Image

Image Notes:
Shot taken with a little bit of synchronized-takeoff help from Flight Recorder, Freeware Red Arrows Gnat and Kemble scenery - all from SimV.

Thanks for looking - comments welcome! :)

Shame the paint looks a bit flat, not your fault though! Otherwise, interesting choice of AC, nice one!

You say snapped by the man in the control tower....but the tower is over the other side of the field by the static Gnat ;) (Been to kemble a few times ;))

Lovely shot though

good trees... normally that bit is left blank and it looks messy

the takeoff looks quite nice too, good looking formation, maybe some extra depth (aircraft next to each other) would have made it better... but it keeps alot of attention on the aircraft which is what the airshows are about

Darn, your too smart for me - i was hoping to get away with that one. ;)
Ok, I'll just say the controller was on his break and standing by the runway taking shots with a tele lens.  :)

Thanks for the feedback everyone!   8-)

hmm, one bonus comment:

you have the Folland GNAT. personally, i think the BAe Hawk (T.1A i think it is) set is much better looking for the arrows. you might wanna check it out on simv

You are off your rocker mate! :o Hawks are ugly mugs in comparison! The Red Arrows were based at Kemble in their Gnats for around 13 years, you can't fault the choice of aircraft!

Cheers!
