what is that little box... thingy... at the top of your screen? What is it doing there? What is its purpose? (This is curiosity) Why is it there? (criticizm)

As you can see, my curiosity is peaked, but I am skeptical as to it aiding the photos. Nonetheless great shots. The last one is intimidating.

i believe the box is used for when you are landing on a carrier...or its just for show LOL (dont really know LOL)
