Which card did you get Dan?

The shot looks nice but it was not murdered by compression ... it was completely slaughtered!
Unfortunately the screenshot is too small to judge if the card is doing a good job and the amount of compression is not helping either.

The new card is a 8800 gts.

Here you can have a better look but still got compressed, the original shot was something like 1200x1024 Link to picture you may have to zoom in for it to look better.

Good card! Did you get the 640 or 320?

Very nice, however let me suggest a few things;

If you're not already using it, grab Irfanview. It'll let you control how much your shots are compressed. Your original one has a good 73kb left to use! Even the large sized one had another 40kb! You can get a much higher quality picture by using every bit of that space ;)
(Note: In case you don't remember, SimV has a limit of 100kb per shot, and 800x600 size ;))

Also, time your screen shot so that the "Simulation Paused" message doesn't show! It's quite an easy way to ruin an excellent shot, and even the "best" can have a perfect shot ruined by it :)

Yes I did, pulled a mcgiver on it, had to make my own bracket to mount the heat sink, appears to be working A ok.

What is killing me is that I still see blurries, they eventually go away but they still show up  >:(

check out the mountains on this one, eventually they'll get nice but I'm tired of fighting with this thing

Yes the GF8800 GTS 320 is a great card.
