Cool stunts... just a question though....
Since rotor flight is possible by pushing air down, (up if your upside down), how is it possible to do a stable hover, upside down, without completely reversing the direction of the rotor turns?
Please elaborate, I'm missing something here...

I'm pretty sure the rotor doesn't reverse direction, just the blades.  If you were to reverse the direction of a cessna's prop blades in flight, the prop would suddenly start pushing against the current airflow.  Same thing here.  There are videos of this exact thing happening on YouTube.  Just search around for things like "RC", "stunts" or "helicopter".

O now I get it... it's sort of like changing the angle of attack of the blades themselves, so that they push air up this time. Ok. Thanks for that clarification Locke. 8-)

I must say, the photofields in this are INCREDIBLE. There is actually depth - if you fly far enough towards a tree, you will hit that tree. If you fly into a building off in the distance, it takes a long time, but the plane will bounce off it. If you taxi towards those hedges next to the runway, it will stop, and the prop will stop moving, as it gets tangled in the grass. It has its drawbacks though - you cannot interact with (most of) the environment. And you can only fly the plane from one spot, you cannot follow it (understandable, no one can get a 3D view of the environment around you.

The capabilities of the sim are incredible as well. As Ecko stated, some aircraft have variable prop pitch angle. Some so powerful to the point that...uh...how do I say this. You can hover the Extra 300 while pointing directly at the ground. There is VTOL capability (Harriers and V-22s are available in add-on packs). There is support for an actual radio controller (specific models only though). It supports new airports - either 3D OR a panoramic photo of your own flying site. Tons of support for third party aircraft.
