NWA A320 at night

Postby BudgiePilot » Sat Aug 18, 2007 10:08 pm

Here's a few shots of a flight I did tonight with the Ifdg A320. Nothing special, just thought they looked kinda nice. ;)

That's the whole idea.

Pretty good first shots, mate, but lighting is a very sensitive issue at night, and generally cruise flight is not a very good time to take night shots. Other then that, nice work, although I will need some day shots to work out whether or not you have any jaggies, but I'm not noticing them now, so that's good.

Good job, keep it up. ;)

By the way, you don't need to compress the shots as much, you're only using about half of the SimV limits right now (100k per image, 500k per thread). Visit http://www.irfanview.com for a great way to save your photos at a great quality, but if you already have Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, then obviously disregard that advice.

#1 and #4 are nice, but I agree with what was said above in reference to taking night shots. Welcome ;)

They would have been better if they were a bit brighter. But how do I do that at night? :-? Should I do sunset or sunrise shots instead?

yeah or you could buy 3D lights from shockwave for $10!!! Very good program and brightens up the default FSX planes :D
I got it..
But if you dont want to get it then stick with dawn and dusk shots there the greatest!

I don't have FSX. :'( My shots probably don't look as good cuz I'm still running FS9.

Hey! >:(

Just because FS9 is technically "out of date" does NOT mean it's automatically bad. You just need some lighter lighting, is all. I'm looking foward to seeing you go far in a screenshot contest some day.

Where does it say these were his first shots? And he has been here since May.  ::) I would also like to add, that there is MINIMAL difference in the graphics between FS9 and FSX, apart from the water, and the overdone sky textures.

Very good mate. ;)

Yeah, I know FS9 isn't bad... it's just not the latest version. I still like it. :) With my new computer (or more importantly, new video card,) my graphics have improved alot over my dad's 6 year old PC. I'll work on some more shots and maybe upload some (hopefully better) ones in a day or two.

Nothing special

NEVER say that ... or don't post them if you don't think they're special!

just thought they looked kinda nice.

Yes, they are nice but a tad dark (I know it is night) but a little more lighting wouldn't have hurt these shots ...
And FS9 shots can be just as good as FSX shots. Even at night ... believe me. Just be creative with some lighting. Look here ... only fs9

Wow. I guess I shouldn't underestimate FS9. It's just that I don't have the environmental add ons that alot of other people do, so my sim (other than the planes and water) is pretty much stock. Maybe I should play with the lighing a bit. These shots were taken in the dead of night, so maybe I should try taking some before the sun completely disappears. :)
