Jet,

Your helping the dude out.

I agree the shot is way too bland. For this contest I would try getting closer to the strip and goto an airport with more static scenery. This contest was a tough one especially if you are new to the screen thing. But at least you followed the rules, unlike me [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Same here. ;D ::)

And don't make my second mistake of re-posting, it won't be accepted.

Better luck next month! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Actiually this was taken at KOSH funnily enough just chose a bad runway to take it at i guess....
Also i was almost going overspeed and the angle just doesn't make it look low and fast enough didn't really think it through enough dang but arishow's arn't really my thing and my FSX Hanger is actually only payware aircraft only got a few textures and this that are freeware so it was really hard for me and couldn't find a decent spitfire or mustang :o

ANyway thanks for the comments guys your helping me a lot i wil try a lot harder next time

Seems a bit bland, the screenshot is also overcompressed

Not sure what bland means i am guessing to simple or too dull or something and i had to keep it under 100kb and this was the most uncompressed i could get it its about 99 kb!

It's not the size of the shot he's talking about  ;D

This shot doesn't have much going on. It's very simple, with just a single plane and a huge open area.

Huge open areas usually aren't the greatest additions to screenshots.

Even with it's flaws, it's still a very good first contest attempt!

hmm, i like it. the plane could have been closer to the camera (aka, larger plane) but i think it looks quite cool. it isnt all jazzed up and with hundreds of addons, but i dont think it needs it. the attention is on the plane and thats what an airshow is all about

good luck, im sure you will be able to learn much here

i think you have a quite good chance of atleast qualifying... but the contest is like 2 days old. still, compared to alot of first shots, this one is really good.

if you dont think your shot is the best there is (for a first shot)

maybe you should see my first ever SimV entry for this contest when it was the takeoff competition in like Feb 06 or so

i do think you could go far, especially for a first time enterer to the contest

edit: you got a link to the rejects? i would like to see them. perhaps make a freeware shots subforum topic, as many people do do
