didn't even bother turning AA

Then why bother posting this shot? Now if it was a great shot with nice lighting, and fantastic scenery ... but no. You didn't even put any effort in getting it to 100kb :-[

I try really hard to post the best shots I can possibly produce and are really getting p*ssed of by people not only post horrible shots but also add to that that they didn't even try to make something nice of it! >:(

Whoaaaah Harold!
Mr Stubbedtoe, for screenshots, you can put the settings higher as it is a still shot.
What I normally do is pause where I want the object to be (in this case, the lovely car), then I get the angle I want and put the settings up for that one shot.  As the game is paused the game won't stutter too much, and it doesn't matter if it does.  As long as you get the angle and the quality of the shot right.
Just time the taking of the shot when the Pause notice isn't here, else your shot will be decorated with the annoying Pause thingy.
Hope I have helped!
Cheers,
Mark

Whoaaaah Harold!

You alright HK never seen you get so angry. Saw you log on yesterday on the multi server several times were you having difficulties with connecting?

Hi boys, I'm not that angy; I'm just using strong words. And Greg, it didn't have anything to do with not being able to log on to the airshow ;)

What I get really p*ssed off about, is people, like Mr. "I don't bother to activate Anti Aliasing", post far below mediocre shots and then add to it that they didn't put any effort in it. I feel that they're posting just to post a shot or to raise their post count. And Mark, explaining how you can raise the quality in screenshots is a waste of time in this case.

I think of the Graphics Gallery as a showcase of what can be done with Flight Simulator and inspire other people. Like Dave has inspired me with his Iris Viking. I asked Dave what his cloud settings were in Flight Environment and he generously send me a PM with his setting. I applied some of those settings to my Flight Environment and as sort of a thank you to Dave I posted my Albatross shots. That is, in my opinion, what this part of the forums is all about!

So, to everyone reading this: Please, put some effort in creating screenart! I'm not saying that you shouldn't post images that are not like paintings or photographs, but only put your shots up here if you can truly say to yourself: "That is the best I can do!" ;)

Totaly understandible that you take the forum and the art of Screen shots seriously. Checked the links extremely exceptional shots the kind you would frame and hang on the wall. Question is that an aircraft you are building or payware? That is a realy sharp looking model. 8-)

It's good isn't it? But no, I'm not building that aircraft. I wish I could do something like that; then I'd actually know how to do something for once.
It it is the Grumman HU-16 Albatross 2.0 by Greg Pepper and Michael Verlin. You can get it here. And the best thing is: IT IS FREEWARE!!

Sorry.  It's just I wanted to shot it off, but for some reason it takes at least 10 FPS off than any other craft, the car alone.  And with everything turned on high and AA on, I wouldn't be able to even take a shot.

Stubbed, it is ok. At least to me. If i was running fsx i would have the same problem. It is totally understandable that you just wanted to take a shot and keep flying (driving) some of my best shots come while i am just fying normally and not worrying about lighting, how good it looks, etc. Harold should see that you just took a shot of your normal flying/driving.

funny how people respond more to your worst shots.  It's confusing.

I'll be taking some shots to try to redeem myself.

Hey HK. Dwn loaded the Albatros. Big files must be has alot of nice features. Also a screen shot question. Remember in the previous post I said that those shots you referenced could be framed and hung on a wall. I was wondering if you know of a reliable and low cost way to enlarge FS screenshots and still keep the quality high. I know the Digies have a Pixel count of 2000 3000 or somehting like depending on the quality of the Camera any suggestions thinking of doing some decorating. Thanks Greg
