Always aim for lower than 100k cos if you get an exact 100k, maybe simV's upload page will say its too big cos it was 100.203 or smth that windows will not display...

I'll save up some cash and get coral paintshop, but for now, I guess I'll have to live with windows PAINT.

I use PNG for the first capture, optimum quality and size. Then resize to 800x600 and save in uncompressed jpg.. and then save again with a little compression, moving 1 notch in the slider at a time til i get it to 98 kb or something. You can always go over to http://www.oldversion.com/ and get Painshop Pro version 9. They store older versions of software and they are for free
I've used PaintShop Pro since version 4 or 5 and even though the current version is 11, version 9 is still awesome!
