Crosswinds at Frankfurt

Postby mpicco » Fri Jul 27, 2007 2:58 pm

So it's been a while since i submitted something... so here's a daring approach considering it was the first time flying this beast I downloaded from project opensky.

I have to say the model itself is really good but i just cant get used to the panel, which i had to download separatly. POSKY does some great things but getting them to work all together sometimes is a pain I must say.

Anyway wind was blowing from 300 at 25... Runway 7... do the math.

Not looking too well at this point (note, the jaggies in the wing are texture problems, only can be solved with Anisotropic filtering and i cant turn that on unless i want to play a slideshow)

Wing view... so shiny :P

Touchdown and i must admit it was kinda rough like 400m/s

Trying to stop the thing...

Welcome to Lufthansatown... and an Air Lingus that probably got lost...

#4... :o

With the nose lower down than the tail, it makes it look like the airbus is pressing itself to the ground. The sense of speed is great too!

Cool shots mate! Very nice angle on #4!

the jaggies in the wing are texture problems, only can be solved with Anisotropic filtering and i cant turn that on unless i want to play a slideshow

If you think so ... try this and this. It really boosted my performance ;)

Good luck! If you need anything just ask!

number 4 is a terrific shot, as well as the others, but for some reason 4 just hits it home

Thanks mate...
I already ran Nick N's performance guide, helped somehow with the starting and loading times, must have been the defrags... but didnt do much for the framerates... I will try the other thing there, downloading right now. Cheers

And thanks again for comments ^^
