[quote]well then it really doesnt matter if the aircraft itself can pull 2000 Gs, the human factor is the limitation and while it is the only thing that keeps these in the air and makes sure that they are flying and protecting us the human factor is still heavily limiting that capabilities of the aircraft.... nothing we can do about that now though

Therefore those extra gs that the typhoon can pull are a bit "yehh well....." as they cannot be used, yet its still good to be able to say that the (part) british aircraft is technically better than the american

Oh right, well i was thinking that you meant that they were both of capabilities that exceeded the abilities of the pilot, in the staying concious... but given that the pilot can out do the capabilities of the F-22 you have your case and i dont...

lol

I do get where you are coming from now, so the best of British (and some of europe) is better than the best of the USA eh? sounds pretty damned good to me  8-)

You could say that, but on the other hand the typhoon doesnt need stealth capabilities as it can simply out-manoeuvre anything that comes its way. Plus if I am not mistaken it is faster aswel, the two powerplants in the back of the typhoon are phenomenal!!

Its all a case of 'what type of war will we get in the future?' Will it be close-quarters dogfighting, or beyond-visual-range missiles? If the former is true, the typhoon's better, if the latter is true, the raptor's better. I guess its good we're on the same side as America!!

Doubt it.

The F-22 carries all its weapons internally so it won't be bogged down so to speak during a dogfight. It also has TVC and in real life, the F-22 would never even get into a dogfight another plane. Instead it would of blown it away before the F-22 was even on its radar.

It's not going to out maneuver a missile. Also the F-22 can cruise at Mach 1.7 while the Eurofighter is about Mach 1.2 to 1.3.

To be honest only 180 F-22's are ordered. Compared with many hundreds of Eurofighters which will easily kill any Flanker varient. If I was the USAF I would of gotten something between the Eurofighter and the F-22, then order TONS of them.

I wouldn't say that.

But, lets face it, it couldn't compete with a typhoon.

I know, but the model used is a YF-22. For me, what makes the YF-22 ugly, and the F-22 not ugly, is the position of the cockpit.

Believe it or not, the F-22 has some weaknesses - its agility is believed to be poor in comparison to the typhoon, which can hold 9g's almost indefinately - the pilot's the limitation on that front.

I didn't mean the real aircraft, I meant the model you used, by Ito.

I could, especially in a Dogfight.

After all, they share the same genetic material.

I think you'd better look back at the start of the thread - they weren't my screenshots :D

I was just commenting on the differenced between the yf-22 and the f-22
