...my first career patrol in Silent Hunter 4 ;)

The U.S.S. Grampus SS-207 Gar Class Attack Submarine...shortly after leaving Pearl Harbor 8-)

Young Lieutenant on watch duty...somewhere in the south Pacific...

Diving to periscope depth, preparing for attack run...in the Sea of Japan

Got them in my crosshairs... 8-)

Last look before she slipped beneath the waves...

They can't even sail safe in their own back yard...

Last kill of the day, hit her on the starboard side, and she sank quickly after...

No torpedos left...time to head back...

Final tally at just over 34,500 tonnes (...old SH3 vet ;))...not bad for one patrol 8-)

Oh that'S nice :)

Seems the "Kaleun" made some good tonnage indeed ;)

SH4 screenies of the detailled ships deserve to be pasted together with some planes from il2/PF maybe  8-)

There's no "Kaleun"s in the Pacific, Simplex.

(And the Grampus was a Tambor class sub.)

Don'T tell me  ;D

It's jsut that the Kaleun and subs are going so nicely together ;)
And "jawohl herr kaleun" soudns WAY better than "Aye CO".. or "Aye Capt'n". Funny thing, they translated it really as "Kaleun" in the german SH4 version although the USN doesn'T even know the rank of "Kapit

Well, technically its a "upgraded Tambor class", it carries like 2500 gallons more fuel and stuff like that...

...but I think the Navy consider it as a totally new class of subarines though.
