That's a LOT of water under the bridge!

Postby Wing Nut » Sun Apr 29, 2007 10:12 pm

I was digging through some old boxes today when I came across my original copy of FS98.  This was my first Flight Sim I ever bought and of course, I had to re-install it to see how my frame rates were... ;D

I have MANY memories of flying this old sim.  For you youngsters out there, THIS is what we had to deal with in the old days...

Nice shots, Kevin. At least we didn't have to deal with ATC back then. I'll see if I can get one of my first FS to work again. Must have it laying around somewhere on two floppy's.

Crash ;)

Big jump between FS98 and FS2000, right? I only saw FS2000 in action, FS8 was my first sim. I didn't have a computer until 2001. I was 29.

If you're REALLY old (like Fozzer or me) then you'll recognise this. My first flight sim ;)

Heh, i remember being very small and playing FS95 with a friend, we spend a whole day figuring out how to powerup the engines ::).

Yeah, still got 98 lying around here somewhere, it was actualy quite nice, anyone remember flying the 206 through the aircraft carrier?

I started out with FS98, too.

But at that time I found Pro Pilot way better, because it had ATC and better 2D panels (just imagine!).

I see crashing was a lot more fun in fs98 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Now a days we fly through buildings and come out without a scratch.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
